A senior Russian military official from the Syrian reconciliation center has accused the US-led coalition of engaging in dangerous drone fly-bys near Russian fighter jets over Syria.

Rear Adm. Vadim Kulit stated that Russian pilots acted professionally to avoid collisions with the coalition’s UAVs during the incidents.

The first incident involved a large MQ-9 Reaper drone approaching a Russian Su-35 jet over Raqqa, while the second occurred near the town of Ed Dana in Idlib province, where the unmanned aircraft came within 100 meters of a Su-35.

The accusations highlight the ongoing tensions and risks in the region, as both Russian and US forces operate in close proximity in Syrian airspace.
