Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, held discussions with the Speaker of the British House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, on Monday regarding the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to the Qatar News Agency (QNA), the meeting also focused on reviewing bilateral relations between Qatar and the United Kingdom, exploring ways to strengthen and enhance cooperation between the two nations.

The talks come amid increasing global concern over the situation in Gaza, which has seen escalating violence and a growing humanitarian crisis.

Both countries have expressed the need for continued diplomatic engagement to address the conflict and support efforts towards peace in the region.

Qatar has played an active diplomatic role in the Middle East, often serving as a mediator in regional conflicts.

The country has also been a key supporter of humanitarian aid efforts in Gaza. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom has maintained a significant diplomatic presence in the region, advocating for peace talks and a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine.

The meeting between Sheikh Mohammed and Sir Lindsay Hoyle underscores the importance of international cooperation in addressing the ongoing conflict and finding pathways to de-escalation and resolution.

With tensions in Gaza remaining high, global efforts, including those from Qatar and the UK, will be critical in pushing for a peaceful settlement.
