Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced plans to establish an industrial project in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE) in Egypt.
During his visit to the UAE pavilion at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Putin highlighted that talks are currently underway regarding the industrial area’s development in Egypt.
On his part, Mohammed bin Zayed, the President of the UAE, proposed trilateral cooperation between Russia, Egypt, and the UAE.
It is worth noting that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum witnessed discussions between Putin and the UAE’s leader.
At the start of their talks, Putin praised the bilateral relations, asserting that the UAE is a “comfortable partner.”
He indicated that relations with the UAE are developing at a rapid pace and addressed Bin Zayed, saying, “The relations between Russia and the UAE are distinctive and work in favor of both parties.”
Putin also thanked the Emeriti leader for his contribution to resolving several humanitarian issues amid the Ukrainian conflict, particularly regarding prisoner exchange.
