Pope Francis issued a heartfelt plea on Sunday for the opening of humanitarian corridors to assist civilians amid the ongoing escalation between Palestinians and Israelis.

Addressing a gathering of thousands in Peter’s Square, he expressed his deep hope that “children, patients, the elderly, women, and all civilians do not become victims.”

The Pope emphasized the utmost importance of respecting human rights, asserting that “before anything else, it is urgent and necessary to ensure the opening of safe corridors to aid all residents.”

He further stated that Many have already died. Please, no more shedding of innocent blood. Enough! Wars are always a defeat, always.

Pope Francis called for prayers to confront the “devilish force of hatred, terrorism, and war.”
The Vatican had offered its mediation on Friday to halt the current escalation.

The Pope’s intervention adds a powerful voice to the international community’s calls for an end to the violence and the provision of humanitarian assistance.

The situation in Gaza has raised global concern, as civilians, including many children, continue to suffer from the impact of the conflict.

Humanitarian corridors and diplomatic efforts are urgently needed to alleviate the suffering and work toward a lasting solution in the region.
