General Janusz Adamczak, the Director General of International Military Staff of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), reiterated NATO’s “unprecedented era” of military cooperation with the European Union (EU). This collaboration is evident in the frequent essential meetings held between the two organizations to ensure continuous coordination and to bolster the level of cooperation between NATO and the EU.
A statement from NATO quoted General Adamczak’s remarks during the 19th biannual conference of Directors General, hosted by NATO’s International Military Staff.
General Adamczak welcomed Vice Admiral Hervé Bléjean, Chairman of the European Union Military Committee and former Deputy Commander of NATO Maritime Forces, and his team at NATO’s headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.
They also discussed the global and regional ramifications of the ongoing Russian military attacks on Ukraine. They confirmed that both NATO and the EU stand united in supporting Ukraine, regardless of the cost.
The conference concluded by emphasizing the need to continue close cooperation and ongoing engagement to achieve agreed-upon goals related to development and defense.
