The Muslim World League has strongly condemned the recent Israeli bombardment of a school in West Gaza that was sheltering displaced civilians, resulting in the death of 15 people and leaving others injured or missing under the rubble, many of whom are children and women.
This attack also led to the destruction of entire residential blocks.
Dr. Mohammad bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, Secretary-General of the Muslim World League and President of the Muslim Scholars Board, denounced these ongoing horrific crimes targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, labelling them as flagrant violations of international laws and humanitarian norms, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Dr. Al-Issa emphasized the urgent need for an immediate international response to halt these massacres, continuing to be committed by the Israeli government’s war machinery, and to put an end to the crimes against innocent civilians.
The death toll from the Israeli offensive on Gaza has soared to 41,391, according to Palestinian medical sources, with the majority of victims being women and children.
Since the offensive began on October 7, the situation has deteriorated rapidly, with reports of 95,760 people injured, as confirmed by the Palestinian news agency “Wafa.”
Many bodies remain trapped under rubble, and thousands of casualties are still unaccounted for, highlighting the immense devastation caused by the conflict.
Israeli forces have reportedly carried out 12 massacres against families in Gaza over the past 72 hours alone. Hospitals in the region have received 119 bodies, and 209 people have been treated for injuries in that time frame.
