In a recent announcement on Friday, American tech giant Microsoft unveiled its plans to terminate the Xbox 360 store, effective from July 29, 2024.
According to an official post on the Xbox website, users of older versions of the gaming consoles will no longer have the capacity to purchase or download new games via the store. However, Microsoft ensures gamers that they can still continue to utilize the games previously purchased.
Furthermore, the post elaborates that Xbox 360 users will be limited to purchasing games compatible with their systems. The company’s strategy now focuses heavily on their latest offering, the “Game Pass” for game subscriptions.
