Meta announced a number of Artificial Intelligence (AI) features for Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp.
It showed ChatGPT-like chatbots for Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp that can communicate using several personalities.
“Developments in generative AI over the previous year have now made it possible for the company to build the technology into every single one of our products,” Meta’s Chief Executive, Mark Zuckerberg, informed the employees.
In the latest developments at the executive meeting, Metamate was unveiled – a new productivity tool designed to assist Meta employees. This assistant is designed to field queries and execute tasks using data derived from the company’s internal systems.
The meeting also brought forth the demonstration of two innovative Instagram features, slated to revolutionize user experience by altering user photos via text cues. Additionally, the development of a new feature that would generate unique emoji stickers for messaging platforms was reported.
Meta’s recent venture into the realm of AI trials announcements of similar advancements from competing tech giants like Google, Microsoft, and Snapchat. Nevertheless, the company has committed to developing its proprietary generative AI, aiming to provide its services to an expansive user base of 3.8 billion monthly users.
Currently, Meta is said to be focused on the introduction of consumer-oriented generative AI products, signifying a strategic move towards user-centric innovation in the AI industry.
