Libyan Attorney General, Counselor Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, met with Tunisian Interior Minister and the Director General of Borders and Foreigners Affairs on Wednesday to discuss judicial cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged ideas on enhancing judicial cooperation in criminal matters.

They also discussed improving mechanisms for the extradition of individuals attempting to evade prosecution by fleeing to either country.

The meeting concluded with a review of the judicial procedures related to the extradition of those responsible for the assassination attempt on citizen Abdul Majid Malekta, according to the regulations of both nations.

Earlier, the Attorney General announced the arrest of two intelligence officers accused of attempting to assassinate Malekta. Efforts are ongoing to pursue the remaining suspects who have fled abroad.
