In the past hours, a cautious calm has settled over the southern suburbs of Beirut following days of deadly escalations.
Meanwhile, Israeli airstrikes have continued to bombard various towns in southern Lebanon. Among the villages targeted by Israel’s air campaign today were Aita al-Shaab, Khiam, Hosh Tyre, Nabatieh, and Zefta al-Kawthariyah.
In addition, Israeli strikes hit the Bekaa Valley, including the areas of Sar’in and Nabi Sheet in eastern Lebanon.
Simultaneously, the Israeli military reported intercepting around 30 rockets launched from Lebanon into northern Israel, with the rockets targeting the Galilee region.
Earlier today, Hezbollah issued a stark warning to residents in northern Israel, urging them to evacuate their homes as both military and residential areas were set to be targeted. This mirrored the actions of the Israeli army, which has evacuated entire villages in southern Lebanon.
Rocket salvos were reported to have hit Upper Galilee, while Hezbollah claimed responsibility for targeting Israeli military bases in southern Haifa. The group confirmed that it had launched a specific rocket barrage at an Israeli military base (7200) near Haifa, home to an explosives manufacturing facility. Hezbollah also announced it had successfully hit an Israeli communications base in Keren Naftali.
The situation remains volatile as both sides continue to exchange fire amid ongoing airstrikes and retaliatory rocket attacks.
