Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced that it will take legal action against anyone who undermines Kuwaiti national unity or incites sectarian or tribal strife through various media and social media platforms.
The Ministry stated in a statement that it has initiated legal procedures against those who have harmed national unity by using phrases that offend tribes and different segments of society.
The Ministry stressed that it will not tolerate verbal or physical abuse, inciting sectarian or tribal strife, or attempting to justify or promote any form of hatred, discrimination, or incitement to it. It will deal firmly with anyone who abuses social media and other means, thus reinforcing the principle that no one is above the law.
