President Kais Saied received today, Saturday, at the Carthage Palace, Prime Minister Néjia Boudan Ramadan.
During the meeting, they discussed the general situation in the country and the progress of governmental work in the past few days.
According to a press release from the Presidency of the Republic, they also “discussed the issue of irregular migration and the inhumane treatment faced by these migrants, which contradicts our values and ethics, unlike what is propagated by colonialist circles and their agents, who are only concerned with serving these circles. There is no better evidence for this than the fact that their positions are the same as those of the rabid propagandists abroad, which pave the way for a new kind of settlement and the distortion of facts and dissemination of lies.”
The President of the Republic emphasized that “Tunisian security forces have protected those who have come to Tunisia and seek stability here, contrary to rumors.”
Once again, the President of the Republic stressed that “these plans are exposed and have been known for some time, and those who are lamenting today were actually involved in them while they were in power, and the people and history have rejected them.”
The President of the Republic clarified that “Tunisia is not a furnished apartment for sale or rent, and these migrants who are actually displaced have only chosen Tunisia as a destination because the road has been paved for them by criminal networks that target countries and people,” as he described.
The President of the Republic also stated that the state cannot be governed based on the spread of lies through social media platforms, which many have turned into platforms and tools to undermine stability and sow discord.
He confirmed that “those who believe they can disrupt the state’s institutions by spreading fake news are mistaken. The Tunisian state will not be disrupted by false images captured in other countries or by fake news disseminated by some websites inside and outside the country. History will separate the wheat from the chaff, and the Tunisian people have made their decision and will not take a step back.”
