Jordan’s Crown Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II arrived at Arish Airport in Egypt on Monday to oversee the preparations and deployment of the Jordanian Field Hospital-2 to the southern Gaza Strip, with a capacity of 41 beds, according to the Jordanian Royal Court.
Meanwhile, the spokesperson for the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sufian Al-Qudah, stated that the ministry continues to “monitor the situation of Jordanian citizens residing in Gaza and ensure their evacuation to the Kingdom as soon as possible.”
The spokesperson added that the Jordanian Embassy team in Cairo, currently present on the Egyptian side of the Rafah border crossing, is working on evacuating 229 Jordanian citizens from Gaza after they were allowed to leave today through the Rafah crossing into Egypt.
The spokesperson also noted that the number of Jordanian citizens residing in Gaza registered on the ministry’s lists, has reached 741 individuals to date.
This mission highlights Jordan’s commitment to providing humanitarian assistance and support to the people of Gaza during times of crisis and conflict.
