King Abdullah II of Jordan is embarking on a trip to the United States to participate in the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) meetings, scheduled to take place in New York next week.

During the UNGA session, King Abdullah is slated to deliver Jordan’s official address, highlighting the country’s perspective on global issues and its stance on various international matters.

In addition to his UNGA commitments, the King has a busy agenda, including a series of meetings with fellow heads of state and participating delegations. These discussions are expected to cover a range of topics, reflecting Jordan’s engagement with the international community.

Accompanying King Abdullah on this important diplomatic mission are Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, underscoring the significance of Jordan’s representation at the UNGA.

In the King’s absence, His Royal Highness Prince Feisal bin Al Hussein has assumed the role of Regent, a temporary measure that ensures the continued governance and stability of the nation in accordance with established protocols. The swearing-in ceremony for Prince Feisal took place in the presence of key Cabinet members, reaffirming Jordan’s commitment to smooth governance during the King’s overseas engagement.
