The Italian Foreign Minister has called for de-escalation following reports of an attack in Iran.

The Israeli Foreign Ministry instructed its embassies around the world on Friday to refrain from making any statements regarding reports of a new Israeli strike inside Iran, according to Israel’s Channel 12.

On the other hand, the Italian Foreign Ministry stated that it is monitoring developments after reports of explosions in Isfahan, Iran, and will discuss this at the meeting of the Group of Seven foreign ministers.

Earlier today, explosions rocked near Isfahan airport and the Hisham Shirazi military airbase in Iran, with a US official confirming the start of the Israeli attack on Iran.

CNN reported that several flights have been diverted above Iranian airspace.

Meanwhile, Iranian state television stated that the nuclear sites in Isfahan province did not suffer any damage, after the activation of air defense systems in Isfahan to deal with suspected drones.
