The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) carried out airstrikes on a Syrian Army warehouse in the Daraa province on Saturday, February 17, 2024. The IOF claimed the strike was in response to earlier gunfire from southern Golan Heights.

According to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), the airstrikes targeted a “weapons storage facility” in the town of Muhajjeh, located in the Daraa countryside. The IDF claimed that the facility was used by the Syrian Army to store “ammunition and weapons.”

The IOF also claimed that the airstrikes were carried out in response to “several incidents of gunfire” from southern Syria towards the Golan Heights on Friday, February 16, 2024. The IDF said that the gunfire did not cause any injuries or damage.

The Syrian government has not yet commented on the Israeli airstrikes.
