The official Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported on Friday that Israeli forces have withdrawn from Jenin and its refugee camp after ten days of military operations.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that the recent conflict resulted in the deaths of 21 individuals in Jenin and the surrounding camp, according to Reuters.

Eyewitnesses reported to Reuters that the Israeli withdrawal left behind extensive damage to the area’s infrastructure.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs accused Israel of “reproducing its brutal crimes and scenes of destruction and vandalism” from Gaza and transferring them to the occupied West Bank, specifically in Jenin and Tulkarm and their respective refugee camps.

The situation in the West Bank has deteriorated significantly since the start of the Gaza war, which began with Hamas’ attacks on Israel on October 7.

Since then, over 700 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military operations, clashes, or in attacks they carried out themselves.

Palestinian reports indicate that Israel has arrested 10,300 Palestinians in the West Bank during raids aimed at capturing suspects since October 7.
