Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant announced that Israel would soon deliver a “precise and deadly” response to Iran’s recent ballistic missile attack. His remarks came during a meeting with the right-wing Gvura Forum, a group representing families of hostages, as tensions between Israel and Iran continue to escalate.
The missile attack, which took place two weeks ago, marked one of the most significant strikes on Israeli territory by Iran, targeting military sites and causing extensive property damage estimated at $53 million.
It was widely seen as retaliation for Israel’s assassinations of key figures, including Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah, and an Iranian Revolutionary Guards commander.
The attack further intensified the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, as well as the war in Gaza, where Israel has been engaged in military operations against Hamas.
In recent weeks, Israel has faced increasing pressure from domestic and international fronts as violence escalates. Iran, through its proxies like Hezbollah and Hamas, has continued to support anti-Israel operations, while Israel has vowed to respond to any threat to its security.
With this latest escalation, all eyes are on how Israel will respond militarily, and whether the situation could lead to further destabilisation in the Middle East.
