Early Tuesday morning, Israeli warplanes launched an assault on Jabal al-Lubnan, near the town of Naqoura in southern Lebanon.

According to the National News Agency of Lebanon, the attack coincides with reconnaissance flights over the Tyre district and along the coastal strip.

The agency reported that just after midnight, the Lebanese Red Cross retrieved the bodies of two deceased members of the Islamic Resistance from Jabal Blat, opposite the town of Marouhine. The individuals had been killed following enemy aircraft bombardment on the area the day before yesterday.

The operation was supported by the International Emergency Forces operating in southern Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the army, transporting the bodies to the Martyr Salah Ghandour Hospital in Bint Jbeil, after which they were handed over to the Islamic Health Authority’s ambulance services.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, declared on Monday the launch of rockets from Lebanon into northern Israel. Meanwhile, the Israeli military reported detecting dozens of rocket launches.

In a statement, “Al-Qassam Brigades – Lebanon” claimed responsibility for targeting Nahariya and areas south of Haifa in northern occupied Palestine with 16 rockets, as a response to the occupation’s massacres and aggression in the Gaza Strip.

The military wing of Hamas has repeatedly claimed rocket fire towards northern Israel from southern Lebanon since the conflict in the Gaza Strip began on October 7th.

This escalation at the Lebanon-Israel border occurs concurrently with increased hostilities involving reciprocal bombardment between the Israeli army and the Lebanese group Hezbollah.

The Palestinian Health Ministry has declared a significant increase in the number of casualties, with the death toll in Gaza and the West Bank rising to 10,165 and approximately 27,000 injuries since the outbreak of confrontations on October 7.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli warplanes have continued their intensive airstrikes and bombardments, targeting homes and various buildings across different areas of the Gaza Strip. These airstrikes have resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of Palestinians, including children and women.
