Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari confirmed today, Tuesday, that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is leading Lebanon into the unknown, stating that all Lebanese are on “one and a half feet.”

In an interview with Al Arabiya/Al Hadath, he added that the Israeli military has killed over 400 Hezbollah members, emphasizing that they will reach all the party’s officials.

“We Will Respond to Any Threat”

Hagari also mentioned that Fouad Shokr, assassinated by Israel, was responsible for the deaths of many Israelis, noting that everyone knows the missile that hit Majdal Shams in the occupied Golan was Iranian-made.

He explained that Nasrallah is escalating tensions in the entire region, a responsibility he will have to bear. He added that while Israel does not want escalation, it will decisively act on any attack, confirming its readiness for any confrontation.

He stated that Israel is not the same country it was before October 7 and will respond to any threats from any region.

Commenting on the appointment of Sinwar as the head of Hamas, he called him a “wanted terrorist” and added that the Israeli military continues to dismantle Hamas’s military capabilities and kill its key leaders.

He reported that the operation in Gaza continues until the hostages are recovered.

State of Alert

The Israeli military has heightened alertness on the northern border with Lebanon, anticipating a retaliatory response from Hezbollah for the assassination of the party’s prominent military leader, Fouad Shokr, in Beirut last Tuesday.

Since the war began in the Gaza Strip between Israel and Hamas on October 7, Hezbollah and Israel have exchanged fire across the border.

Since the escalation began, Hezbollah has targeted military sites and soldier gatherings in northern Israeli towns, while Israel confirms conducting aerial and artillery bombardments targeting Hezbollah’s “infrastructure.”

At least 554 people have died in Lebanon, including 360 Hezbollah fighters and at least 116 civilians, according to a count by Agence France-Presse, based on Lebanese authorities and Hezbollah data.

The Israeli authorities have reported the deaths of 22 soldiers and 25 civilians.
