In a significant development, the Iraqi National Intelligence Service has confirmed the successful arrest of two highly dangerous leaders associated with the notorious terrorist organization ISIS beyond the country’s borders.
According to a press statement from the intelligence agency, which was reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the apprehension of these individuals follows years of intelligence gathering. The operation, conducted outside Iraqi borders, aimed to bring these individuals back to Iraq to face justice.
The first captured terrorist is identified as Issam Abd Ali Saedan, also known as (Abu Zaid), a journalist for the so-called “Fallujah Province.” Abu Zaid played a crucial role in orchestrating the brutal killing of a soldier and was responsible for overseeing all media activities of terrorist gangs in Fallujah since 2014. His involvement in documenting numerous terrorist crimes, including the notable killings of soldiers Mustafa Al-Adhari and Samir Murad Al-Dalawi, has been highlighted.
The second terrorist apprehended is Bashir Abd Ali Saedan, alias (Abu Ahmed Etisalat), a soldier associated with the “Fallujah Province.” Abu Ahmed Etisalat assumed responsibility for all terrorist operations conducted by the organization in Fallujah post-2015. He was also in charge of securing and encrypting communications for gang leaders.
The successful operation is a major breakthrough in the fight against terrorism, demonstrating the Iraqi National Intelligence Service’s commitment to addressing and neutralizing the threat posed by ISIS.
