Watan: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Nasser Kanaani stated that any “Israeli” aggression against Lebanon will escalate regional tensions and threaten security and peace. He emphasized that Iran will not hesitate to defend Lebanon against any “Israeli” adventure at the appropriate time.

During a press conference held today in Tehran, Kanaani warned that “Israel” must bear the consequences of any attack on Lebanon, and called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities. He highlighted that defending Lebanon is a fundamental principle for Iran.

Kanaani asserted that the people, government, army, and resistance in Lebanon are determined to defend their country, with the resistance prepared to defend Lebanon more vigorously than ever before.

Regarding Iran’s relationship with the United States, Kanaani explained that indirect negotiation channels with Washington remain open, and there are various ways to exchange messages between the two countries. He mentioned that indirect talks have taken place and details will be provided when necessary.

Recently, “Israeli” threats and calls for a large-scale war on Lebanon have intensified, following escalations in attacks by Hezbollah on northern occupied Palestine.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah has warned that if war is imposed on Lebanon, the resistance will fight without any restrictions or limits. He noted that the significant pressure exerted by the southern Lebanese front on the occupation army, along with other fronts, affects the negotiation dynamics regarding the outcome of the war on Gaza.
