On Monday, Iran’s Ministry of Information announced that it had dismantled what they describe as the “largest terrorist network linked to Zionism.
The Iranian Ministry claimed that the group had possession of 43 explosive devices across several provinces within the nation.
In an official statement, the Ministry disclosed that the wide-ranging terror network had been planning a series of destructive actions to coincide with the Ashura ceremonies.
It added that the group was seeking to create chaos by targeting public assemblies, fuel supply stations, power transmission towers, and other similar goals. A noteworthy plot involved a potential bombing at the gravesite of the late Qasem Soleimani, former commander of Iran’s Quds Force.
The apprehended individuals, as per the statement, have been involved in previous hostile operations. They purportedly sent photographic and video evidence of their operations to terrorist-supporting media outlets based in Europe and America. These actions included attacks on government buildings, assaults on Basij bases, multiple instances of arson at banks, vandalizing ATMs, and setting city buses and communication antennas on fire.
The Iranian Intelligence Ministry has affirmed its authority to pursue terrorist activities beyond its national boundaries and promises to take appropriate measures against those who sponsor terrorism. The Ministry also warned countries that have become sanctuaries for terrorist activities under the banner of human rights protection, stating that terrorists have never shown loyalty to their supporters.
