Lebanese Hezbollah announced in a statement a summary of its military operations targeting Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) positions and troop deployments in the eastern and western sectors of South Lebanon.
On Monday, Hezbollah reported that its fighters conducted an aerial attack with drone missiles on Sunday in South Lebanon’s eastern sector, targeting the newly established Berkhta artillery position, the Ramim barracks, and IDF troop deployments surrounding the area in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa farms, achieving direct hits.
Additionally, they shelled the Zebdine position in the occupied Lebanese Shebaa farms with artillery, the Roueissat al-Alam position in the Lebanese Kfarchouba hills with appropriate weapons, and targeted an IDF troop assembly near the Manara position with missile weaponry, inflicting confirmed casualties on an Israeli military force inside the Matula position with artillery fire.
In South Lebanon’s western sector, Hezbollah militants fired Burkan missiles at the Malkiya position, destroyed newly installed spying equipment at the Jaroud point with suitable weapons, and directly hit the Ramim barracks with artillery shells.
The Israeli army, on Sunday, stated that Israeli Air Force aircraft targeted a vehicle in the Konine area of Lebanon, which was carrying Ismail Az-Zein, a significant commander in Hezbollah’s anti-tank missile unit, the Radwan forces.
A field source told Sputnik that Israeli drone aircraft targeted a vehicle in the town of Konine, South Lebanon, with two missiles, resulting in injuries within the vehicle.
Last Friday, the IDF announced the assassination of Ali Abdul Hassan Naim, the deputy commander of Hezbollah’s missile and projectile unit, in the Bazourieh area of Lebanon.
The battles in South Lebanon between Hezbollah and the Israeli army have been ongoing for over five and a half months, expanding daily along the southern border from Ras Naqoura to the Shebaa farms.
However, the engagements remain within the established rules of engagement for South Lebanon, dictated by the military realities on the ground.
There have also been some attacks beyond the southern Lebanese borders, the latest targeting a town west of the city of Baalbek in East Lebanon.
