Lebanese Hezbollah has announced targeting 13 sites of the Israeli army in the past 24 hours. In a statement, Hezbollah claimed that their fighters attacked four Israeli military sites in the eastern sector of South Lebanon on Thursday, achieving direct hits.
The targeted sites included the Marj site and Harj Rameem (occupied Lebanese village of Hounin) at 7:00 AM, achieving direct hits. At 11:00 AM, the Ma’ayan Baruch site was hit directly, and later at 12:40 PM, the Marj site (occupied Lebanese village of Hounin) was targeted again. At 3:05 PM, the Bayyad Bleda site was also shelled.
The statement also confirmed the targeting of eight additional Israeli army sites in the western sector of South Lebanon. At 2:00 PM Thursday, a gathering of Israeli soldiers around the Metat military base was attacked, followed by another attack an hour later near the Jal Al Allam site, both causing direct injuries.
Hezbollah’s statement highlighted direct hits on Israeli soldiers in Harj Shetoula and the Jaradah site.
Meanwhile, an Israeli military spokesperson earlier reported the death of an Israeli civilian in Hezbollah’s shelling from Lebanon. The Israeli forces have heightened their military readiness in the North and pledged to respond to any attacks. Israeli shelling in South Lebanon has escalated, causing destruction to homes and injuries.
Lebanese media also reported that the Israeli military shelled the outskirts of the town of Markaba in South Lebanon, with two shells falling near the town of Houla from Wadi Salouqi, and artillery fire hitting the outskirts of Harsh town of Kounine.
