In response to the escalating crisis in Rafah, Hamas has issued a fervent plea for immediate international assistance. The organization has called upon global leaders and the United Nations to swiftly intervene and halt the dire humanitarian situation unfolding in the region.

Expressing deep concern over the ongoing Israeli attacks, Hamas emphasized the urgent need for aid delivery to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian civilians. The closure of the Rafah crossing, now in its sixth day, has severely impeded the flow of essential humanitarian and medical supplies, leaving residents vulnerable to the mounting aggression.

Hamas condemned the Israeli occupation’s tactics, accusing it of exacerbating the crisis through a deliberate policy of deprivation and ethnic cleansing. The situation, according to Hamas, threatens to escalate into a full-blown humanitarian catastrophe, with fears of widespread famine gripping the besieged territory.

Emphasizing Israel’s accountability for the crisis, Hamas called for immediate action to compel the cessation of hostilities, the reopening of crossings, and the facilitation of emergency aid deliveries. The organization stressed the imperative of international pressure to ensure the protection and well-being of civilians in Rafah and the wider Gaza Strip.

The recent closure of the Rafah and Karam Abu Salem crossings by the Israeli military, coupled with relentless air and artillery strikes, has further intensified the suffering of the civilian population, exacerbating an already precarious situation.
