The death toll in the Gaza Strip has reached 41,020 due to ongoing Israeli attacks, Gaza-based health authorities reported on Tuesday. Over the past 24 hours, 32 people were killed, and 100 others were wounded. Since the conflict began in October 2023, a total of 94,925 Palestinians have been injured.
On Tuesday, an Israeli airstrike in Khan Younis, southern Gaza, killed at least 40 displaced Palestinians and wounded more than 60 others. Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated that the strike targeted senior Hamas leaders hiding in a command center within a humanitarian area.
Israel launched its large-scale offensive against Hamas in retaliation for the group’s October 7, 2023, attack, during which approximately 1,200 Israelis were killed and 250 others taken hostage.
