At least 25 more Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip, raising the death toll to 37,925 since October 7, the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave reported on Tuesday.
The ministry added that approximately 87,141 people have been injured in the ongoing assault. In the past 24 hours, Israeli forces killed 25 people and injured 81 others in three attacks against families, described as “massacres” by the ministry.
Many individuals remain trapped under rubble and on the roads, with rescuers unable to reach them, the statement added.
Despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate cease-fire, Israel continues its offensive on Gaza, facing international condemnation. The conflict, which began with a Hamas attack on October 7, 2023, has left vast areas of Gaza in ruins under a severe blockade of food, clean water, and medicine.
Israel is accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice, which recently ordered Tel Aviv to halt its military operations in Rafah, where over a million Palestinians sought refuge before the city was invaded on May 6.
