Flynas has revealed that it will begin direct flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, starting October 9.
This move is in line with flynas’ objective to broaden its reach in the African market.
It also supports the airline’s growth strategy, encapsulated in its slogan “We Connect the World to the Kingdom”, and is in sync with the National Civil Aviation Strategy’s ambitious goals set for 2030.
Beginning October 9, flynas will operate three weekly flights from Riyadh on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from Jeddah, starting October 10, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
This initiative solidifies the airline’s commitment to offer more travel options to Africa, benefiting both pilgrims and visitors traveling between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia.
As a prominent LCC, flynas currently serves over 70 local and global destinations, operating more than 1,500 flights weekly.
Customers can conveniently book their journeys via flynas’ website, mobile app, call center, or through travel agents.
Last July, the leading low-cost airline became the first Saudi carrier to operate direct flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Sphinx International Airport in Cairo.
“We are proud to be the first Saudi carrier to operate direct flights from Riyadh and Jeddah to Sphinx International Airport in Cairo,” said Bander Almohanna, and representatives of government entities in Egypt.
“This is a significant milestone for flynas as it takes our expansion plans in the Egyptian market to a new level. Egypt is a huge market, and at the same time, it is a gateway to Africa, giving flynas a remarkable edge as we pursue our growth and expansion strategy in destinations and routes.”
