United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi engage in crucial discussions regarding the spiraling crisis between Palestine and Israel and the deteriorating humanitarian conditions in Gaza, calling for immediate de-escalation and revitalization of the peace process.

In an imperative dialogue on Monday, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi scrutinized the escalating developments of the current crisis between Palestine and Israel, emphasizing the grimly deteriorating humanitarian conditions prevailing in Gaza.

According to a statement released by the Egyptian presidency, both parties concurred on the urgency of attaining a cessation of military operations across various fronts. They underscored the importance of protecting civilians through immediate actions to prevent further deterioration in the humanitarian conditions. This necessitates paving the way for diplomatic efforts to contain the situation, restore calm, and rejuvenate the peace process.

President Sisi stressed the paramount importance of earnest endeavors to find a fair solution to the Palestinian issue, aligning with international legitimacy resolutions. Egypt will persist in its efforts to provide support for any future steps in this regard, alongside the vital role of the United Nations in coordinating with active parties in the international community to contribute to this indispensable track to achieve lasting peace and security in the Middle East.

The Gaza Health Ministry, on this dire Monday, declared a rise in the number of martyrs in Gaza, on the third day of the Israeli aggression.

The Health Ministry reported that 560 citizens have been martyred and another 2900 citizens have been injured with varying degrees of severity due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Furthermore, the Interior Ministry in Gaza highlighted that a number of martyrs and wounded ascended due to intensive Israeli raids on inhabited houses west of Gaza City, Al-Sabra area, and Al-Sultan area.

In the light of these discussions and the tragically unfolding events, it is incumbent upon the international community to bolster and intensify efforts towards mitigating violence, providing humanitarian aid, and navigating a path towards enduring peace in the region. The dialogues between international leaders signal a critical juncture that demands collective, constructive action to traverse towards a resolution.
