Egypt’s Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty discussed recent regional escalations caused by extreme Israeli policies and the ongoing Sudanese crisis with his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan in a telephone call on Friday.
According to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of halting current escalations and stressed the need for major international powers, especially the United States, to fulfill their responsibilities in addressing these issues.
The conversation also covered the efforts by Egypt and Saudi Arabia to resolve the Sudanese crisis and stop the ongoing conflict, aiming to preserve Sudan’s unity and sovereignty by working together to achieve a ceasefire and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid.
During the call, FM Abdelatty reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing mutual coordination and consultation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia to address regional and international challenges.
FM Faisal bin Farhan expressed his aspiration to continue strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries and maintain cooperation to enhance coordination and consultation on regional issues and challenges, ensuring the security and stability of the region.
