He reiterated Egypt’s stance against any attempts or actions that would force Palestinians to leave the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of allowing sufficient humanitarian aid to meet the needs of the Palestinians in the region.

Furthermore, in a meeting that included discussions with Russia, the Egyptian Foreign Minister expressed appreciation from Arab and Islamic countries for Russia’s support of the Palestinian cause and expected further efforts from Russia, leveraging its permanent membership in the UN Security Council, to achieve a lasting ceasefire in Gaza.
He questioned the rationale behind the continuous bombardment targeting displaced civilians in the south, aimed at forcing the inhabitants to leave the sector, and announced Egypt’s initiative to draft a new resolution to address the imbalance in humanitarian aid access to Gaza, to be presented to the UN Security Council on behalf of the Arab and Islamic groups.
