The Egyptian and US naval forces have launched their inaugural joint naval exercise, “Eagle Defender,” in Egypt’s Red Sea region, according to a statement by Egyptian Armed Forces Spokesman Gharib Abdel Hafez.

This first-time training event aims to enhance operational coordination between the two navies through theoretical and practical exercises.

The exercise includes planning and managing joint naval operations, with a focus on skill development and familiarity with advanced weapons systems.

The event is part of broader efforts to strengthen military cooperation and exchange expertise between Egypt, the US, and other allied nations
