China is prepared to collaborate with various stakeholders to promptly organize a comprehensive, credible, and impactful international peace conference in Gaza.
It aims to establish a clear schedule and plan for enacting the two-state solution and to assist in recommencing peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel, stated a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Wednesday.
During a routine press briefing, spokesperson Wang Wenbin addressed this issue, highlighting China’s consistent advocacy for an international conference to address the Palestinian question.
Following the recent outbreak of conflict between Palestine and Israel, China presented its stance through the Position Paper of the People’s Republic of China on Resolving the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict to the UN Security Council, reiterating its call for an expedited convening of such a conference, Wang noted.
The international community is progressively acknowledging China’s proposal, according to the spokesperson.
China is eager to join forces with all concerned entities to quickly set up a wide-ranging, respected, and effective global peace summit.
It aims to draft a specific timeline and strategy for realizing the two-state solution, and to bolster the resumption of peace dialogues between Palestine and Israel, with the ultimate goal of achieving a peaceful and harmonious existence among Palestinians and Israelis, as well as Arabs and Jews, Wang added.
