Bayern Munich has made a significant addition to its squad with the signing of Spanish talent Bryan Zaragoza from LaLiga side Granada.
The deal, conducted for an undisclosed fee, is set to see the 22-year-old Spain international join Bayern at the conclusion of the 2023-24 season. Zaragoza has committed to the Bavarian giants with a contract extending through June 2029.
Describing the new acquisition, Bayern’s Sporting Director Christoph Freund expressed enthusiasm in a press release, stating, “Bryan Zaragoza is an explosive, very quick and extremely nimble winger, who can play on either side.”
Freund continued to highlight Zaragoza’s unpredictability, goal-scoring ability, and proficiency in one-on-one situations.
He also emphasized the player’s recent senior debut for Spain and acknowledged his considerable potential.
Hailing from Malaga in southern Spain, Zaragoza made his first-team debut for Granada in the 2021-22 Copa del Rey, gradually establishing a more regular presence in the squad during the subsequent LaLiga2 campaign. In the current season, Zaragoza has notably contributed with five goals and two assists in 14 LaLiga appearances.
The young winger earned his debut with the Spanish national team during the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, featuring prominently in a 2-0 victory over Scotland. Bayern Munich looks forward to integrating Zaragoza into their squad as they aim for continued success in both domestic and international competitions.
