Australia has recently announced the imposition of new sanctions on ten Russian and Belarusian individuals, as well as 35 Russian entities, according to the country’s Foreign Minister, Penny Wong.
Wong stated, “Australia has imposed sanctions on 35 entities in the Russian defense, technology, and energy sectors, as well as on ten individuals, including Russian ministers, high-ranking officials, and senior military personnel from Belarus.”
The sanctions target companies operating in the technology, electronics, military apparel, nuclear energy, and Arctic activities sectors, as well as the largest Russian military helicopter factory.
