Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad Ahmed Attaf received Atilio Berardi Hoida, who presented copies of his credentials as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina to Algeria.

Additionally, Attaf welcomed Antonio Augusto Eduardo Nampute, who also presented his credentials as the new Ambassador of the Republic of Mozambique to Algeria.

In a related development, the Zambian government has approved the appointment of Tawfiq Abdelkader Mahi as Algeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Zambia.

Algeria has been actively strengthening its diplomatic ties with various countries in recent years.

The appointment of new ambassadors from Argentina and Mozambique reflects Algeria’s ongoing efforts to enhance bilateral relations and cooperation in diverse fields such as trade, culture, and political collaboration.

Argentina and Algeria have enjoyed diplomatic relations since the 1960s, with both countries sharing interests in sectors like energy, agriculture, and education.

Mozambique, with its growing economy and strategic location in Southern Africa, represents another key partner for Algeria in the region.

The appointment of Tawfiq Abdelkader Mahi as the new Ambassador to Zambia further underscores Algeria’s commitment to deepening its diplomatic and economic relations with African nations.

Zambia, rich in natural resources, offers numerous opportunities for bilateral cooperation, particularly in mining and agriculture.

These diplomatic moves come at a time when Algeria is looking to diversify its international partnerships and play a more prominent role on the global stage, particularly within the African Union (AU) and other international organizations.
