In a unanimous decision, Algeria has been elected as a member of the Board of Governors of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), according to Algerian newspaper “El Chourouk.”

Algeria’s election to the Board of Governors took place during the 67th General Conference of the IAEA held in Vienna. This achievement was made possible with the unwavering support of the African Group of Permanent Representatives to International Organizations in Vienna.

Arab League Ambassador to Vienna, Arabi Latrous, expressed his gratitude for Algeria’s commitment to supporting the IAEA’s efforts to enhance the peaceful applications of nuclear energy among developing nations.

Algeria’s election to the IAEA’s Board of Governors reflects the nation’s dedication to promoting the peaceful use of nuclear energy for the betterment of society and the advancement of scientific knowledge.
