Algeria and the Republic of Congo have inked a cooperation protocol in the field of parliamentary affairs, marking a significant step in fostering closer legislative ties between the two nations.
According to a statement from the first chamber of the Algerian Parliament, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Ibrahim Boughali, along with his Congolese counterpart, Isidore Mvouba, signed the protocol on Monday.
This agreement will facilitate the exchange of documents and legal texts currently in force in both countries, as well as the organization of joint forums, training sessions, and lectures.
The protocol also establishes provisions for regular meetings between the heads of the councils or the participating delegations at various forums. Additionally, it aims to foster regular exchanges of views on major international issues and encourages friendship groups to exchange best practices in administrative, technical, and financial management.
This new legislative collaboration underscores both nations’ commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and sharing valuable parliamentary expertise.
