Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council, emphasized the necessity of ending the war to pave the way for a political process in the country.

Speaking to non-commissioned officers and soldiers in Gedaref State, Al-Burhan stated that without silencing guns, a peace agreement is unattainable, criticizing those who fail to abide by commitments and agreements.

Al-Burhan expressed dissatisfaction with negotiating with individuals who consistently violate peace agreements, asserting that there can be no peace until the rebellion is resolved.

He also criticized politicians who engage with warmongers, referring to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), the armed faction responsible for attacks on citizens.

Highlighting the changed dynamics of the conflict over the past ten months,

Al-Burhan stated that the war has become necessary due to unfulfilled commitments after peace talks in Jeddah.

Following the recent breaking of the RSF siege on Omdurman, Al-Burhan has consistently asserted that the Sudan Armed Forces (SAF) will achieve victory over the RSF militarily.
