Air Arabia, the premier low-cost carrier (LCC) in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), has unveiled its newest route, connecting Sharjah to the historical city of Giza in Egypt.

Starting December 6, 2023, there will be five direct flights every week between Sharjah International Airport and Sphinx International Airport.

Adel Al Ali, Group Chief Executive Officer, said: “We are glad to announce the launch of our new flights from Sharjah International Airport to Sphinx International Airport in the historic city of Giza, Egypt.”

“Sphinx International Airport marks Air Arabia’s fourth destination in Egypt from Sharjah, following Cairo International Airport, Borg Al-Arab International Airport, and Sohag International Airport.”

Air Arabia’s fleet consists of state-of-the-art Airbus A320 and A321 neo-LR planes, which are recognized for their modern design and efficiency.

These planes boast spacious seating in the economy class, ensuring passenger comfort. Additionally, travelers can enjoy “SkyTime”, an in-flight entertainment streaming service available for free.

For those interested in flying this route, bookings can be made through Air Arabia’s official website, their call center, or various travel agencies.

Air Arabia has recently secured first place in Airfinance Journal‘s prestigious annual ranking of the world’s top 100 airlines.

Headquartered in Sharjah, the airline’s ranking follows Airfinance Journal’s extensive assessment of the performance of 100 global airlines during the last 12 months figures, no older than 31 December 2022, ensuring data accuracy.

The assessment took into account a comprehensive set of operational and financial criteria, encompassing various key performance metrics such as revenue, fixed charges, liquidity, market capitalization, and leverage in addition to the fleet size.
