The Iranian Embassy in Muscat issued a precautionary statement to its citizens planning to travel to Oman on Saturday.

According to the Mehr News Agency, the Iranian Embassy in Oman released a warning, alerting Iranian nationals about the activities of scammers targeting travelers.

The statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed that in recent times, certain individuals have been promising various services to Iranians, including obtaining visas from some countries’ embassies, handling migration, residency, job-seeking, economic activities, property purchases, and more.

These individuals are soliciting substantial sums of money from unsuspecting citizens seeking these services.

The Iranian Foreign Ministry emphasized that these individuals are not authorized or licensed to engage in such activities and often lack officially registered institutions or offices.

They falsely present themselves as associated with government entities in Iran or Oman, including the Iranian Embassy in Muscat.

The ministry urged Iranian citizens to obtain information from official and reliable sources and exercise caution when dealing with such individuals.

It advised seeking necessary guidance from the Iranian Embassy in Oman or other relevant official entities within Iran.

Furthermore, the Iranian Foreign Ministry called upon Iranian nationals planning to travel to Oman to report any unauthorized individuals engaging in activities without proper licensing or permits.
