Concerns are rising among residents in several regions of Morocco as temperatures begin to soar once again, sparking fears of wildfires.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning bulletin predicting a new heat wave across the country, with temperatures expected to reach between 33 and 47 degrees Celsius.

The Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, known to be vulnerable to wildfires, is expected to experience temperatures ranging from 33 to 39 degrees Celsius.

Other regions like Beni Mellal, Fakih Bensalah, Kalaat Sraghna, Taroudant, Guelmim, Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Tata, Errachidia, and Zagora could see even higher temperatures, ranging from 42 to 47 degrees Celsius.

Residents in these areas are urged to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their properties from the potential risks associated with the extreme heat.

The recent events in neighboring Algeria have also heightened concerns about the potential threat of wildfires spreading rapidly in the region.

Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and advising the public to stay informed about weather updates and safety guidelines during this period of increased heat.
