Al-Asoomi underscored the Arab Parliament’s commitment to bolster cooperation with Libya, in order to fulfil the aspirations of the Libyan people for stability and development.

The President of the Arab Parliament reaffirmed his stance supporting Libya’s unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and against any foreign intervention in the nation’s internal affairs.

He also praised the efforts made by the Arab nations in their relentless pursuit towards resolving the Libyan crisis through political solutions. The Arab Parliament’s President reiterated his support for all initiatives aimed at achieving Libyan national reconciliation.

Welcoming the Preparatory Forum for the Comprehensive Conference on National Reconciliation, which was held in Congo with the participation of the Libyan Presidential Council, representatives of various Libyan political forces, the African Union, and the Arab League, Al-Asoomi affirmed his support to this cause.

Thabet, Libya’s permanent representative at the Arab League, appreciated the significant role played by the Arab Parliament, under Al-Asoomi’s leadership, in supporting stability in Libya at all regional and international levels.

The meeting reflects the Arab Parliament’s proactive approach in facilitating Libya’s journey towards a more peaceful, stable, and developed future. It emphasizes the significance of regional support in ensuring national reconciliation, unity, and sovereignty in Libya.
