The International Coalition is actively reinforcing its military bases across northern and eastern Syria with additional troops, military supplies, and logistical support.

These developments occur amidst ongoing attacks by Iran-backed militias using drones, artillery, and rockets, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).

The Observatory documented the arrival of military and logistical reinforcements, including advanced weaponry and ammunition, transported via eight cargo planes to various bases, particularly in the southern Al-Hasakah countryside.

Moreover, a convoy of 80 military vehicles recently reached the Al-Omar oil field, one of the coalition’s largest bases in Syria.

This military buildup coincides with persisting regional tensions, especially following recent events in Gaza on October 7, 2023, and current disturbances in Lebanon.

An official from Syria’s Immigration and Passport Authority reported on Monday that nearly 400,000 individuals have fled to Syria due to Israeli military operations in Lebanon.

According to the source, between September 22 and October 18, 395,485 people entered Syria from Lebanon, including 124,450 Lebanese displaced persons and 271,035 Syrians returning to their homeland.

The Syrian Ministry of Health disclosed on its website that over 28,000 foreigners received more than 56,000 free medical services within a 26-day period.

Since September 23, Israel has expanded its military engagement, which began in Gaza on October 7, 2023, to encompass all regions of Lebanon through unprecedented airstrikes and a ground incursion in the south.

Pro-Iranian Iraqi armed factions announced on Sunday that they had targeted a “vital objective” in the Golan Heights using a drone.

In a statement, the “Islamic Resistance” said: “Continuing our path of resisting the occupation, in support of our people in Palestine and Lebanon, and in response to the massacres committed by the occupying entity against civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, the Islamic Resistance fighters in Iraq targeted a vital objective in the occupied Golan at dawn on Sunday using drone aircraft.”
