Iran Threatens Israel with Stronger Response

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated on Tuesday that any attack on Iranian infrastructure would be met with a response, warning Israel against launching strikes on Iran. This follows Israel’s threats of retaliation after an Iranian missile strike targeting Israel. Araghchi advised Israel “not to test Iran’s will” and emphasized that any attack would prompt a stronger response than ever before.

He added, “We are monitoring every move, analyzing every strike, and we will respond firmly, without hesitation.” Araghchi’s remarks come amid U.S. reports suggesting that Israel’s potential retaliation could target military, security, and leadership sites in Iran, with options including strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities if tensions escalate.

Israeli officials have promised a strong response to the missile attack that struck Israel earlier in the month. Iranian military leader Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi also reiterated that Iran’s response to any Israeli action is inevitable. He added that while Iran may exercise restraint in the short term, any Israeli aggression would result in a stronger and more destructive retaliation.

The conflict has intensified since Iran launched a significant missile attack on Israel on October 1, 2024. This was one of the largest missile barrages in the ongoing conflict, with Iran stating it was retaliating for Israeli assassinations of key figures, including Hamas and Hezbollah leaders. In response, Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that Iran would “pay” for the attack, with the U.S. promising severe consequences. This escalation follows earlier confrontations between the two nations in 2024, with missile strikes and retaliatory operations on both sides
