Iraq’s Security Media Cell announced that more than 100 terrorists have been killed this year, most of them high-ranking leaders. This significant achievement highlights the continued efforts of Iraqi security forces to dismantle terrorist networks across the country.
Speaking to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Saturday, the head of the Security Media Cell, Major General Tahsin Al-Khafaji, credited the success to the coordinated strategy implemented by the Joint Operations Command in collaboration with various security agencies. He also mentioned the recent arrest of nine individuals wanted on terrorism charges, captured through intelligence operations across four provinces.
Major General Al-Khafaji emphasized that the fight against terrorism is ongoing, with security forces actively targeting terrorist strongholds wherever they are found. The number of terrorists eliminated this year is a testament to the effectiveness of Iraq’s security operations, with the majority of those killed being dangerous leaders.
