Hamas declared on Monday that its leader in Lebanon and member of its external leadership, Fath Sharif Abu Al-Amin, along with his wife and two sons, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting him in the Al-Bass camp in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, Hamas affirmed that “Abu Al-Amin has joined the ranks of the movement’s martyred leaders in the battle of Al-Aqsa Flood,” committing to continue on their path and pursue their mission until “the occupation is driven from our blessed land and Jerusalem and the prisoners are liberated.”

This event underscores the ongoing tensions in the region, particularly in Lebanon, where recent days have seen significant developments.

Last Saturday, Lebanese Hezbollah announced the death of its Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Hezbollah stated in an official release that “Hassan Nasrallah, the Secretary-General of Hezbollah, has joined his great martyred comrades, whom he led for nearly 30 years, from victory to victory, culminating in the divine victory of 2006 and various battles of honor and sacrifice, supporting Palestine, Gaza, and the oppressed Palestinian people.”

Hours before this, the Israeli military officially confirmed the killing of Hezbollah’s Lebanese Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, in a Friday airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

The Israeli military added that the strike also eliminated Ali Karaki, the Southern Front commander of Hezbollah, and several other leaders of the organization.
