Saudi Arabia and Algeria reaffirmed their commitment to halting Israeli violations against the Palestinian people during a phone call on Saturday between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Algerian counterpart, Ahmed Attaf.
The ministers discussed the escalating situation in Gaza, with both expressing deep concern over the continued Israeli actions, which have led to widespread violence and suffering.
According to the Saudi Press Agency, both leaders emphasized the importance of intensifying joint coordination between Arab and international partners to mobilize efforts against Israel’s ongoing military escalation.
They called for unified regional and global action to address the ongoing crisis, underlining that the protection of Palestinian civilians and the restoration of their rights must remain at the forefront of diplomatic efforts.
The conversation took place against the backdrop of a worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza, as Israeli airstrikes and military operations have escalated in recent weeks.
Both Saudi Arabia and Algeria have long voiced their support for the Palestinian cause, advocating for a fair and just resolution to the conflict based on the two-state solution, as well as the cessation of Israel’s aggressive actions in Palestinian territories.
