Amid escalating regional tensions and accusations of arming Russia, Iran unveiled a new ballistic missile and an upgraded drone during a military parade on Saturday, state media reported.
Iran has been accused by Western governments of supplying drones and missiles to Russia for its war in Ukraine, allegations Tehran has consistently denied.
The newly revealed solid-fuel Jihad missile, developed by the aerospace arm of the Revolutionary Guards, has a range of 1,000 kilometers.
The upgraded Shahed-136B drone now boasts an operational range of over 4,000 kilometers.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian attended the parade and praised the country’s defense capabilities, stating they had reached a level where no nation would dare to attack Iran.
He also called for unity among Islamic countries against Israel, which he condemned in his remarks. The parade commemorated the 1980-88 Iran-Iraq war.
